I am very much a gourmand. I would say I'm a gormet, but I enjoy food way
to much to be snobbish about what kind of food I'm eating.Just as long as
it tastes good,and there's plenty of it.Anyways... here are my favorite meals
Dinner
Appertizer : oysters on the half-shell
Pasta : fettucine carbonara
Main course : london broil
Side dishes : mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus
Salad : caesar salad
Bread : fresh baguettes
Desert : blueberry cheesecake
Lunch
Roast beef and mozarella on a croissant, with mustard and tomatoes.
A glass of iced tea.
Breakfast
Pizza
I've had some requests for recipes, so here goes :
Caesar Salad
2 heads of Romaine lettuce
4-6 roma tomatoes
1 large jar of Newman's Own caesar salad dressing(it's the cheapest, it's
got the SAME ingredients as the most expensive, and the proceeds go to charity.
Not only that, I've gotten compliments for using it)
fresh grated parmesan
croutons (any kind you like)
break the lettuce into approximately 1"(inch) size pieces. it's best to
break or tear using your hands. If you do cut the lettuce, use a plastic
knife, as it won't cause the lettuce to wilt or turn brown.
either dice the tomates or cut into quarters, lengthwise.
combine the lettuce and tomatoe in a large bowl, and use approximately
1/4-1/3 of a Large bottle of dressing.(I use a 3 gallon plastic ice cream
container with a lid, and just shake everything in it to toss the
dressing)
top with croutons and fresh parmesan as desired.
