What Video Game Character Are You? I am an Asteroid.I am an Asteroid.

I am a drifter. I go where life leads, which makes me usually a very calm and content sort of person. That or thoroughly apathetic. Usually I keep on doing whatever I'm doing, and it takes something special to make me change my mind. What Video Game Character Are You?

09/19/02: Not much happening as of late, mostly due to Real Life(tm). I started a blog though, you can check it out at http://www.blurty.com/users/nekoreeve. So check it out.
09/19/02: I've just uploaded two little patches to the Linux kernel I wrote, they're available from the download page.
05/15/02: Oh boy! I just uploaded the first version of a new little utility I wrote, GTK+ Mount. It's just a simple GTK+ 2.0 based frontend to mount/umount. Also, wagers in GMonsters are finished, just a few more bugs to squash and some "spit 'n polish" so to speak, and a new release should be ready.
05/15/02: Yeesh, so much for updating more often :) Well, not much to report, GMonsters is still undergoing some bugfixing and some added features like wagering on battles are in the works.
11/06/01: Ack, way to long since my last update. GMonsters 0.5.1 is out, it now uses a client/server model. I'll try to update more often from now on, I promise! :)
05/11/01: GMonsters 0.4.0 is out now. Enjoy :)
02/26/01: I've dropped the RTech label, since 1) Others seem to have taken it, 2) We're not organized enough to have an organization name :)
12/17/00: GMonsters 0.2.0 is out, enjoy!
11/14/00: Things have been slow here, sorry. It's not my fault, it was the one armed man! :) Ok, nevermind. Hopefully there will be a new Gmonsters release soon.
9/18/00: It's here! The new Gmonsters release, 0.1.0! It's available at it's homepage, CVS, and the download page. I didn't get that Helixcode job, but that's ok :) Well, enjoy Gmonsters 0.1.0, no network game quite yet, but it's coming.
7/22/00: I know, that Gmonsters release is late :) I've been busy lately and haven't gotten around to it. It should be soon though, I mean it this time :) Also, I've applied for a job with Helix Code, hopefully I'll be packaging Helix GNOME for Slackware soon :)
7/9/00: Work has resumed on Gmonsters somewhat, expect a new release within the month. I (Reeve) have just started a new job as a computer assistant for my local government, so work might be a little slow, sorry. I've also just graduated (woohoo!), and got a new notebook computer (thank you Dell for making your hardware Linux-compatible) :) Well, that's it for now.
4/15/00: A new version of libslaktool is out, along with a new version of GnoSPaM. Check'em out at the Slaktool page or on the download page. Also, a major overhaul of libslaktool is in the works, so it won't need shell scripts anymore. Hopefully that'll be the next release :)
4/8/00: The Slaktool page has been completely redesigned for your viewing pleasure :)
4/5/00: Ok, new version of libslaktool out now. Enjoy :)
3/20/00: I haven't updated in a while, but I've got two announcements. First and foremost is my new project, Slaktool. It is an advanced version of the Slackware package manager (fully compatable), and it adds the features of other package managers like RPM. My second announcement is the release of GMonsters 0.0.3. Well, ok, that's all for now.
2/9/00: Not a lot of changes over the past month I'm afraid, but I have gotten my SourceForge account for GMonsters working much better now. The CVS repository works again (whew, I suck at CVS), the current release (0.0.1) has been slightly modified, and the tarball is now on download.sourceforge.net instead of here natively. I regret to say that with my *extreme* inexperience with multiplayer code, the net game is still not ready for ANY use what-so-ever, though you can try out a "fakenet" game by compiling the battle program with the added C flag "-DTESTNET" (without quotes).
12/1/99: GMonsters 0.0.1 is up here now. It's far from complete by any stretch of the imagination. The multiplayer features are non-existant in this release. :)
11/25/99: Well, a new version of wmG is up on site now, it's version 0.15.0. It fixes a few bugs and now windows attempt to stay on the screen. Enjoy! :)
11/21/99: Ok, small update. GMonsters is almost ready for initial public release, and I've added ICQ status indicators to this page. Neato, eh? *sic* Well, till next time.
11/4/99: Sorry for the long time between updates. I've been working heavily on my new game, GMonsters. It's not really a game in the real sense, there is no "world" or anything, you just train and battle little virtual monsters. I'll put up a more lengthy description later.
9/8/99: wmG 0.14.12 is up. It improves (and fixes) the resizing, and fixes a few minor display glitches.
9/6/99: A war strategy game for GNOME, War Virtue, is in progress. The beta will be up soon, but the AI is not good. Also in progress is a small GNOME-based programming editor, GPE.
8/28/99: wmG 0.14.8 is on site now. It's just a small bugfix release, but still an important one, because older versions don't work correctly with GTK+ 1.2.4, which was released shortly before (2 days or so). If you're not planning to upgrade, then you don't need this release.
8/24/99: wmG 0.14.0 is now released to the masses :) It adds resizing using the border, and makes it faster. Later Note: wmG is now on the DucTape mirror instead of Geocities because it kept corrupting on Geocities.
8/23/99: wmG 0.11.2 is up on site now. It fixes a bug that caused it to crash and burn if the frame width was one, and adds the Gnome-based configuration utility, wmGconf. Enjoy :) Later Note: wmG 0.11.5 is now up. It mainly just fixes the CPU hogging issue that caused wmG to take up all spare CPU time. Now your CPU will idle plenty :)
8/21/99: wmG 0.9.0 is up on site now. It fixes several bugs, removed the root menu, and detachable menus and such now work properly with it. When I add workspace support it should be fairly complete.
8/20/99: wmG 0.7.0 is now released! It repairs the "random resize" glitch and several smaller problems, and now uses GTK's selected state for the active title bar.
8/19/99: wmG 0.5.3 is now released! It is the first release to truely use GTK widgets! Enjoy! :)
8/18/99: wmG 0.0.2 has been updated slightly, not enough for a new version though :) Also, the i386-redhat RPM is now available. Later Note: wmG 0.1.0 is now on site. (Damn I work a lot!)
8/17/99: wmG 0.0.2 is uploaded now. That's it for this update :)
8/15/99: Damn, long wait on updates that time around, eh? Sorry :) I've been working (too much!) on War Virtue, a Gnome-based war strategy game for Linux. I've also been creating wmG, a window manager for Xwindows. Anywho, that's it for now.
7/26/99: Ok, I fixed the RPM links and uploaded libRPG 1.0.1 (not any different really, just added HTML documentation to describe the usage of it in programs). Nothing else really :)
7/20/99: Major update! :) I finished the play half of the GTK interface to Adventure++. It is virtually bug free, but I of course would like to know if any bugs are found :) I just need to get off my butt and make the GTK editor now :) Well, till next time, bye.
7/18/99: Minor update today. Just wanted to note that I'm making a GTK interface to Adventure++. The interface for the game itself is nearly finished, I just need to finish the battle interface, then begin working on the GTK interface for the editor.
7/12/99: Well, I've changed the look of this site. It's now got "cooler" graphics to go with the name. (antRTecha) Haha. Anyway, nothing really special except Kenny joined RTech. Later Note: Findle joined late tonight too.
6/29/99: This is my first update on RTech (being as it just started *sic*) so don't hope for much yet. Megazeux is still being ported to linux, so don't expect any MZX related stuff on here any time soon. Well, ok. Bye.
